Media Discovers Thousands of Live Weather and
Webcam Images Via WXnation.com
(PRWEB) May 9, 2005 -- Despite a relatively calm start to
May, severe weather season is here, and several TV stations
across the United States are discovering and linking to
WXnation.com (
http://www.wxnation.com ), a live weather and outdoor
webcam directory, which lists thousands of live streaming
webcams and radar images conveniently by location for more
than 100 U.S. cities.
WXnation.com has been featured in recent days on TV
newscasts and Web sites in several markets, including San
Francisco; Tampa; Nashville, Tenn.; and Columbus, Ohio,
following an NBC News Channel report by "PC Mike" Wendland
at the end of April.
In early 2003, well before blogs became a priority for many
companies, WXnation.com's founder and Webmaster, Bill Young,
Jr., started the WXnation Blog (
http://www.wxnation.com/weatherblogs/wire
), which provides daily weather and space news. In a 2004
Washington Post article, Young described the blog as "the
Drudge Report for weather." WXnation Blog became a popular
destination when four major hurricanes hit Florida in 2004
and is now among WeatherBug Blog?s "Blogs We Read." Today,
the blog alone receives thousands of weekly visits as it
provides severe weather news this spring and prepares for a
new hurricane season.
