...WIND CHILL ADVISORY NOW IN EFFECT FROM 6 PM THIS EVENING TO
10 AM CST WEDNESDAY...

* WHAT...Snow occurring. Very cold wind chills expected. Plan on
slippery road conditions, including during the evening commute.
Additional snow accumulations of less than one inch are
expected. Expect wind chills to drop into the zero to 10 below
zero range overnight for most locations. Atop the Cumberland
Plateau, including Sand and Lookout Mountains, wind chills may
drop into the 10 to 15 below range.

* WHERE...Portions of north central and northeast Alabama and
southern middle Tennessee.

* WHEN...For the Winter Weather Advisory, until 9 PM CST this
evening. For the Wind Chill Advisory, from 6 PM this evening
to 10 AM CST Wednesday.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...The cold wind chills will cause frostbite
in as little as 30 minutes to exposed skin.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

A Winter Weather Advisory for snow means periods of snow will
cause primarily travel difficulties. Be prepared for snow covered
roads and limited visibilities, and use caution while driving.

A Wind Chill Advisory means that cold air and the wind will
combine to create low wind chills. Frost bite and hypothermia can
occur if precautions are not taken. Make sure you wear a hat and
gloves.

This Hazardous Weather Outlook is for north Alabama and portions of
southern middle Tennessee.

.DAY ONE...Tonight...

Light snow will end early this evening along and near the I-59
corridor in northeast Alabama. A dusting of additional accumulation
would be expected early this evening.

A Winter Weather Advisory remains in effect for the entire region.

North winds in the to 5 to 15 mph range will combine with very cold
temperatures to produce wind chills below zero late tonight into
Wednesday morning. Most valley locations will drop into the zero to
10 below range, with 10 to 15 below zero possible atop the Cumberland
Plateau. A Wind Chill Advisory has been issued for the entire area.

.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...Wednesday through Monday...

A Wind Chill Advisory will remain in effect until 9 AM CST on
Wednesday.
