Back From San Antonio; Auroras Abound As Storm Ends; WX Aids Firefighters; Winter Forecast; Space WX Center; Winter Storm Kills 4

Happy Halloween! Just got back from San Antonio, where my wife and I spent a couple of days at the Riverwalk… We stopped by the Market, The Alamo (and, yes, I spotted the webcam peering out of a window in the tourism center across the street), Hard Rock Cafe and finished our vacation with lunch at a fine Tex-Mex restaurant in Old San Antonio — Guadalajara Grill… Anyway, it was a good time, though very humid (I don’t complain, as long as it’s nice and warm).

The huge solar flares are over… Some great snapshots of auroras are in this Spaceweather.com gallery
