From The World Of Webcams: Dad’s Webcam Shames Drivers: A man has become so frustrated that other parents have ignored pleas from a school and police that he has set up a Web site aimed at “framing and shaming” the culprits.
New URL, Same Stuff: I instructed my co-worker Frank (the one who went to the Olympics in Greece) to check out this blog yesterday, and he promptly typed in “wxnation.com/weatherblogs/wire/” only to express frustration that he was at a “Page cannot be found” message. I decided, that was it — time to rename the blog URL from /log to /blog. I think I came up with that original folder name very late one night in Feb. 2003, when I started this web “log.” No one really calls it a log though. Since I’ve just made this change, why not make more, so, while I’ve enjoyed the alliteration of “WXnation Weblog,” I have cut the “We” out of the title as well. It’s now just a blog. All of those old links will redirect automatically to the blog folder by tonight, by the way. I’ve spruced up the navigation columns in the city pages as well to reflect these changes. Any negative feedback should be sent “ATTN: Frank” and I will make sure he gets them right away…

Happy Thanksgiving! As Promised: Higher-Quality Texas Fall Foliage Images
Happy Thanksgiving to everyone! I hope you have a great and safe holiday (travel weather info follows this entry). As promised in yesterday’s entry, I returned to that somewhat colorful tree located next to my daytime workplace in east Fort Worth and snapped a few pictures Wednesday afternoon. I also managed to get a photo of the Fort Worth skyline from Interstate 30 westbound just west of Loop 820 in east FW. The last image of a foggy field was taken in mid-November at the WXnation.com headquarters in far north Fort Worth. Click on any of these images for large versions:

Fall Colors In Texas Tree; Sooner Shaker: Minor Earthquake In Central Oklahoma; Severe Weather As Holiday Approaches
Fall Colors In Texas Tree: Fall foliage is usually comprised of two colors in Texas: brown and yellow, in that order.
Sometimes, a tree here or there can produce some nice colors.
I came across a color-confused tree just outside my workplace in east Fort Worth, Texas, and snapped some shots yesterday at about noon, just hours after a storm moved through and later produced 70 mph wind gusts in Dallas County (more on that in yesterday’s entry). The image links to a larger version.
I plan to take my “real” digital camera out later today and, should it be sunny, I may get some better shots of either this tree or a couple in nearby Keller.
As for the Fall Foliage webcams page that was on this Web site for the past couple of months, I removed it yesterday, since everything listed is well past its peak.
