Hurricane-Force Winds Shut Down Eiffel Tower: Storm With High Winds Kills 6 In France: A powerful storm packing hurricane-force winds lashed northern France on Friday, killing at least six people â€” some by falling trees â€” and forcing officials to close down the Eiffel Tower.
