North Texas Winter Storm Images: A winter storm hit Dallas/Fort Worth, Texas, Wednesday and Thursday morning, as temperatures fell from 89 degrees on Dec. 4 to a chilly 15 degrees early Friday, leaving sleet, freezing rain and ice. The following pictures were taken from Beach Street in north and east Fort Worth. The first two (and fourth) pictures were taken Thursday. As you can see, traffic was light. I came across a busted sprinkler head that was spraying water onto a tree. The last three images were taken Friday (water still spewing, temps still freezing). All images link to large versions in new windows
