Dog Days Of Summer: Oktoberfest; Weather Channel’s Day

When people go to an Oktoberfest, they normally leave with a stuffed animal and a couple of trinkets. My wife and I went to one in Addison, TX today, and I tried to win her a toy, but came up one dart short. So, no stuffed Winnie the Pooh wizard bear, but we did leave with something — a dog from the SPCA. It’s an Australian Cattle Dog/Pit Bull mix that was one of 198 dogs rescued from Tyler, TX on Sept. 17.
