Funnel Cloud Pics In North Fort Worth This Evening
Here are some pictures taken this evening of a wall cloud with rotation, which became a funnel cloud. It spawned a tornado warning in far north Fort Worth and Roanoke, Texas. The first image was taken from my home looking to the southwest. The next three, looking north, were taken about 15 minutes later. Click on the images for lighter versions:

Where were these pics taken from?
They were taken from my home, just west of Interstate 35W, and a few blocks south of Heritage Trace Parkway in far north Fort Worth.
Just curious. I live in Roanoke and saw this storm coming my
way for about 15 min.
Was the rotation pretty strong?
Apologies for the dealyed response. Just rechecked that day’s entry now. The rotation on the storm was fairly strong when the first picture was taken. It appeared it was close to forming a funnel cloud. By the time it got north of the house and the last few pics were taken, it was too far away to see the rotation.
Just A Small Question, was this the same tornado that blew through Haltom City?
Kim, Nope. This one started showing rotation over I-35W and was moving to the North-Northeast.
DO YOU HAVE ANY PICTURES OF THE WYLIE, TX TORNADO THAT CAME THROUGH LIKE IN 1993 ON MOTHER’S DAY OR KNOW WHERE I COULD FIND SOME?
April: All I’ve found so far is this picture, taken after the storm: http://www.weatherpix.com/Wylie.htm
