Hurricane-Force Winds Shut Down Eiffel Tower: Storm With High Winds Kills 6 In France: A powerful storm packing hurricane-force winds lashed northern France on Friday, killing at least six people — some by falling trees — and forcing officials to close down the Eiffel Tower.

As I have happily done before, I visited our local Gridlock Busters traffic page, and then tried something new: Yahoo! Maps with live traffic reports, thanks to a tip from Mike Wendland’s blog.
