Snow Wanted: Bring on the snow for Super Bowl XL: Detroit embraces cold weather … Having lived in the Motor City in the late ’90s, I know just how low the mercury can go up there. I’m certainly not wishing anything close to that (and a warmer-than-usual winter seems to suggest it won’t be that bad). As for hoping it will be snow-town next weekend (city planners want this for downtown festivities), sure… it wouldn’t hurt to have enough on the roads to cover those frightening looking potholes. Or have those been fixed since I last visited in early ’05?
