Stormy Central U.S., Iowa; OKC, KC Tornadoes; The Day After Tomorrow

Much of the Central Plains is under a tornado watch, and warnings have been issued in South Dakota, Nebraska, Kansas, Missouri, Iowa and Oklahoma. Get the latest watches and warnings from this National Weather Service map.

My wife and I just returned from seeing “The Day After Tomorrow” and we both liked it. I thought the special effects were very well done, and the characters were likeable and, at appropriate times, very humorous. I couldn’t think of a slow point in the movie. It, once again, reassures me that my move from Michigan to Texas was a wise one. (I’m not a fan of sub-zero degree weather at any point in my life). My wife liked the special effects as well. She did not like the scene featuring the wolves…
