TV Meteorologists Undergo Tougher Testing. I am fortunate to be working at a television station that has four fine folks who each earned a degree in Meteorology. From what I’ve been told, there are only one or two others on air in the Dallas-Fort Worth market who can say the same. Additionally, two of my station’s mets worked with a legend in these parts, a man named “World’s Greatest Weatherman,†Harold Taft, who died in 1991. It’s amazing how many “I’ve watched since the days of Harold Taft” e-mails our station receives to this day.

Another great U2 performance on SNL, Another great U2 article and blog entry on the SNL appearance — the SNL message board is very active tonight as, on the show, U2 began into a fourth song when time was up for the viewing audience … The first Web site I worked on was a fan site called U2 At The End Of The WWW, which was online from Feb. 1997 to Feb. 2002 and (mostly) still lives on at Archive.org. My first impression of the new album is in the Nov. 19 entry below. After a couple days of listening to it, I’d say it is tied for best U2 album along with “Achtung Baby,” and “Joshua Tree” a close third…
