dear sir.i'm having a problem with bringing up current radar loops from all cities. on the left side when i bring up your home page, the cities i've used before are tinted in light blue rather than the normal green. i am asuming that if it were green that it would bring up current radar info. how do i go about clearing all the cities, i've loaded previously, to the green hue they are suppose to be? please contact me.thanks, frizz

Yes, We work in Walker and pass the new weather ball that has been erected and would like to get some information on what the different lights mean. Are the lights an indication of upcoming weather or are they just a "Hey look at me I'm a weather ball thingy?" Inquiring people want to learn! Thanks for your information. Looking forward to an answer. Hazel and Glen Absher.

Cedar Springs MI, MI USA - Wednesday, May 14, 2003 at 13:47:49 (EDT)

WXnation's edited reply: How interesting, a weather ball that changes color. The colors do predict upcoming weather:
13 Weatherball red, warmer ahead. 13 Weatherball blue, cooler in view. 13 Weatherball green, no change foreseen. Colors blinking bright, rain or snow in sight. More details on the whole thing here: http://www.wzzm13.com/weatherball.asp A webcam of the weather ball is now in the Grand Rapids page.

Greetings from the Palmdalecam. I didn't see my web cams on your site, although you have so many it would be easy to over look. I have had a still image updating to the web every few minutes for 7 years or so. My Live cams are listed below: The Palmdale Cam http://www.palmdalecam.com/still.html This camera is updating a high resolution image every 4 minutes 24 hours a day. The camera is sitting on a tripod pointed out my living room window. I point this cam to different views every day or so. The Palmdale LIVE Cam http://www.palmdalecam.com/cam.htm This camera is web controllable and has an incredible field of view. Viewers can easily see 90 miles in the distance during the clear winter months. Viewers can also easily view air traffic at USFS Plant 42 which is located 5 miles from the Palmdale cam location. However I was leary of pointing the camera at the Air Force Base after 911, as I would not want to be singled out as jepordizing our National Security. Afer a few months and numerous emails from Boeing Employees in Seattle I allowed the cameras to view the AFB again. The Boing employees use the cam to view rollouts and testing of new aircraft in Palmdale. I asked them if they could get the pilots flying the 747 that carries the shuttle back to Florida to turn to the left after takeoff instead of the usual right hand pattern,,I wanted a better picture. NEEDLESS TO SAY THEY LET ME DOWN. THINK SNOW, Bob

I hope I am sending this comment to the proper person. This web site is strange. I want to comment about leting your best news anchor go, Charlene Brown. She was the best of all the Col. stations. She was professional and easy to watch and listen to. She did not talk so fast one couldnt understand her. I know what you are doing. You get these young fast talking, hyper types to make us think everything they say is soooooooooo important. They never ask piercing questions because they don't know much yet. I know the demographics. You are only interested in the 18-39 or whatever. Wake up old people have rights, money and not much power! You lost me anyway to all the local news because Charlene was only one I watched. You don't care because I mute every commercial anyway. Sincerely,

Lexington, Ky USA - Wednesday, December 11, 2002 at 09:47:01 (EST)

WXnation's Reply: The direct link to Lexington's climatology info is: http://www.crh.noaa.gov/lmk/ On the page, look for "Preliminary Local Daily and Monthly Climatological Data" near the bottom of the center column. You can find monthly precip totals there. This is the most accurate data available, I'm sure. AccuWeather.com also has a link to 1 year precip for your area. It's linked in the radar section of the Louisville page. The direct link to the 1 year precip map for your area is: It appears about 80 inches have fallen, if this is accurate.

I have another camera to go with my Staugbeachcomber.com Camera. Go to www.marinelandfloridadolphincam.com and I have live streaming video of the Maternity Dolphin Pool with four dolphins in it. This refreashes at 4x a second. Enjoy Marcus

Lafayette, La USA - Sunday, October 20, 2002 at 16:23:47 (EDT)

WXnation's Reply: Thanks for e-mailing us. Are you looking for rainfall in just your area? If so, you can find monthly normal rainfall amounts in the links on this page: http://www.srh.noaa.gov/lch/climate/climate.htm Just click on Lafayette, and then each month. At the bottom of the month is the rainfall total. For future reference, this link is accessible through the "National Weather Service Watches, Warnings, Advisories Map/Local Forecast Office" link (then clicking on "Climate") found on the WXnation city pages under the "Weather Warnings" category. There is a national precip link (NCDC US Climate at a Glance) in the "Climatology" section of the National page on WXnation: http://lwf.ncdc.noaa.gov/oa/climate/research/cag3/cag3.html Just change "Mean Temp." to "Precip" in the pull-down menu under the map.

Awesome site, Bill! I'm rather impressed! I really love the black / green look, plus the pink highlight when you scroll over the menu items. I'm going to tell everyone I know to start using this for all their weather needs! Great job! :)

This is a great website! I am a huge weather buff, and I can fulfill all of my weather needs on this site. The live cams are a bonus! I can't imagine going anywhere else for updated weather information. I also can't see why anyone else would either. You have thought of everything, and it's all right here! You are a genius! ; )
