To The Snow In TO; Pittsburgh records 4th highest snow total in April; Record also set in Cleveland; Rain, melting snow causing floods in Northeast; Pope to lie in state at St. Peter’s

Blogging from a HoJo in Toronto…

To The Snow: This time I ended up where the storm is. On Saturday, I hit the road with my sister, driving from Texas to Michigan and then on to Toronto, Ontario, on Sunday, where a snowstorm greeted us. Several inches of snow are on the ground between London and Toronto, and it is currently snowing with winds gusting to 30 mph early this morning in TO. (I’ll post a couple of pictures when I return to North Texas). We certainly didn’t see the worst of the storm: details on that here … Resource: Toronto weather/live webcams

Other News: Pope to lie in state at St. Peter’s: Cardinals meet Monday to set funeral date … Thanks to XM Satellite Radio, my sister and I were able to listen to the news of the Pope’s passing Saturday afternoon on Fox News, CNN and MSNBC as we were driving from Texas to Michigan.
