Earth & Space News: Today’s Astronomy Picture of the Day looks as if it could have been a frame taken from a late 1970’s/early 1980’s Pay TV movie channel’s opening montage. I liked the HBO intro from that time, which started with a giant and bright “HBO” in space and then swooped down over a city (Hollywood?) at night, or something like that… anyway, it seemed very high-tech at the time!
