Weird News: Strange colorful cloud forms over Dallas-Fort Worth Metroplex … I was able to snap a couple of pictures of this myself at about 12:45 p.m. from a location about four miles east of downtown Fort Worth. Images open larger versions in new windows… The best explanations I’ve heard so far, a plane may have dumped some fuel that caused the rainbow of colors when hit by the sun at the right angle; or it was a phenomenon known as a sun dog.
