Wednesday Morning Heat Burst In Fort Worth, Texas: Between 2:45 a.m. and 3:45 a.m. Wednesday, a heat burst left behind wind damage and power outages in Fort Worth and Arlington. The WXnation Station was on the northern edge of the heat burst, which in some places led to a temperature increase of almost 10 degrees. The data below is from the WXnation Station in far north Fort Worth (5 miles SSE of Fort Worth Alliance Airport) and shows how the temperature rose from 72.7 degrees at 2:30 a.m. to 77.9 degrees at 3:35 a.m. and then fell to 67.9 degrees an hour later. Also, the dewpoint dropped to 46.5 degrees before jumping back into the 60s.
