Jobs Worth Weathering: This week, “Abrams and Bettes: Beyond the Forecast,” The Weather Channel’s nightly show at 8 p.m. ET, will focus on “Jobs Worth Weathering,” as on-location interviews include scientists, fisherman, Coast Guard members and others whose jobs entail conquering some of the world’s toughest weather conditions. The workers will detail their personal stories, challenges and experiences that they deal with regularly. On-location segments include:

Mon. Dec. 4: Mt. Washington, NH scientists that deal with hurricane force winds almost every day of the year

Tue. Dec. 5: Cape Disappointment, WA Coast Guard members train in some of the roughest water in the world

Wed. Dec. 6: Apalachiola, FL Fishermen/Oystermen deal with some of the roughest weather conditions
